Condé Nast is a big-time travel and destination magazine/website that has come out with a ranking of the top 50 hotels in the entire world, the list includes hotels from New York, Paris, London, and Chicago. Now it isn't surprising to me that Chicago has a hotel on the list but where it falls on the list is maybe a little surprising. The list (to see the whole list click here!) has The Gwen a luxury Michigan Ave, Chicago Hotel ranked as the 8th best hotel in the world, on the site they say...

"The Gwen, located on the city’s famed Magnificent Mile and in the landmark McGraw-Hill building—with its 1928 facade wholly preserved—does just that. Art deco interiors with taupe- and gold-hued rooms emanate old-fashioned glamour and chic modernity all at once. The rooftop bar and restaurant, Upstairs at the Gwen, is buzzy as can be when the weather is nice..."

If you want to check out pictures of The Gwen in Chicago check out their website by clicking here!

If you look through the list you'll realize that The Gwen is the highest-ranking hotel in the United States! The list 1-7 is compiled up of hotels from mostly Europe and one in China, so The Gwen represents the best of the best in America. a one-night suit stay at The Gwen will run you close to $400 a night, which all things considered isn't that crazy!
