There are very few places where you're practically guaranteed to have a paranormal experience, but this is one of them. One of America's most terrifying places is a historic theater in Illinois.

Every home I've ever heard of that claimed it was haunted had a moment in the past that could be pointed to as a possible reason. But, what about the house in Illinois that was just named the 'creepiest place' that experts claim was haunted before it was built?

I've always found it curious when someone refers to a cemetery as "haunted". It's the resting place of the dead obviously. There's one Missouri cemetery that has a unique legend attached to it. It's said to be the most haunted in the state where a former caretaker was murdered...yet still lives.

A lot of old homes have stories, but few have the history of this Missouri mansion. It began as a dream home, but became a sanitorium after the untimely death of a young girl named Sophia. Now, it's officially considered one of the most haunted buildings in Missouri.

It's funny what some people consider a "vacation". For some, that apparently includes visiting a haunted Missouri cemetery where there's a decent chance you'll leave with scratches and scars from the experience.

Many places in Illinois claim to be haunted, but few can claim as many paranormal happenings as Bachelor's Grove Cemetery. It is allegedly home to the "White Lady" and unholy rituals from secret groups.
