Convenience stores

Not good news on the business front for convenience chain 7-Eleven. In an earnings call, it was revealed that they will be closing 444 stores forever. The question is how many locations in Illinois will be affected.

When you say both names, they both end with a long "E" plus an "S". There are other similarities that have some claiming a Missouri convenience store chain will one day rival the mighty Buc-ee's. To quote and old saying, I believe someone is putting the cart in front of the horse, but let's look closer.

The end of July will really be the end of an era. A true Wisconsin original convenience store chain will be forced to close all locations after 48 years in business based on multiple reports.

Buc-ee's is reportedly planning even more Missouri locations in St. Louis and Kansas City in addition to their place in Springfield.

When I think of putting gas in my vehicle, I don't immediately start thinking about fine cuisine. Perhaps I should adjust my thinking as a famous gas station chain is about to open their first ever 'bistro' in Missouri.

If seeing this convenience store's name makes you chuckle, you might be interested to know that a name change might be in order soon for locations in Missouri. It's already started changing in several other states.

The world's largest convenience store is still coming to Springfield, Missouri, but it's not all smooth sailing as they've just been told they will not be allowed to change a nearby street name.
