Reba McEntire sang her latest hit, "Going Out Like That," on the Grand Ole Opry recently, and Taste of Country readers are getting an exclusive look at the performance.

McEntire has been a longtime staple of the Opry roster, and on this evening she was her usual perky self, offering up a high-energy performance, waving to fans from the stage and looking great in a sparkling black top and black leggings, with high boots. Written by Rhett Akins, Ben Hayslip and Jason Sellers, "Going Out Like That" is s spunky anthem about a woman who's lost a love, but isn't going to let it show: "He thought she'd be sitting home crying / But she ain't goin' out like that / She's had enough of feeling like dying / She ain't goin' out like that."

The song is the first single from McEntire's 27th studio album, Love Somebody, which is her first under a new deal with Nash Icon, a partnership between Big Machine Label Group and Cumulus Radio aimed at returning legacy artists to the commercial marketplace. So far the strategy has worked beautifully; Love Somebody debuted at No. 1 the week of its release.

While the album has plenty of material for fans of McEntire's past work to enjoy, she drew from some of the top contemporary songwriters in Nashville for the new songs, including Sam Hunt, Brandy Clark, Shane McAnally and Ashley Gorley. “As you all know, I love looking for songs to record. I’ve said that many times," McEntire notes. "We listened to thousands of songs to find just the right ones for this album.”

Among the tracks is a duet with Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles on “Enough,” as well as “Pray for Peace,” which McEntire originally released via Facebook in 2014.
