Quincy Police report three separate incidents of suspicious activity on Wednesday.

Police say that in all three incidents, elderly Quincy residents were contacted by what they believed to be a Hispanic male—possibly in his 20s. The male talked quickly and in two instances was able to lure the elderly resident a distance from their home. In one case.. the man was diverting attention to possible landscaping work. In another incident.. the man claimed to be a city employee and wanted to show work to be done in an alleyway. Police say it’s possible the Hispanic men were working with two white males. Police say this technique is often used to allow someone into a house to commit theft.

Police say legitimate solicitors will have a license. City employees will be wearing city of Quincy clothing and have employee ID.
