A task force is being formed in Adams County to help those affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

At a press conference Friday, Quincy Mayor Kyle Moore announced the formation of the Adams County Community Response Task Force to coordinate the efforts of various agencies in responding to challenges ahead.

Moore also announced the availability of a small business emergency loan to help hard hit businesses.

The $10,000 18-month microloans would be available at one percent interest, with no payments for the first six months.

Moore said this would be a bridge loan until state and federal assistance kicks in.
Loan applications will be available online next Tuesday.
