Quincy And Adams County Officials Address COVID-19

Officials with Adams County, the City of Quincy, Quincy Public Schools and the Adams County Health Department addressed concerns about the Covid-19/Coronavirus at a Thursday evening press conference.

Jared Welch of the Adams County Health Department says the medical community…schools and businesses are well prepared. Welch also warns that considerable misinformation is circulating regarding Covid 19. Adams County Emergency Management Director John Simon this is not the time to allow fear and panic to control actions. He says that is more of an immediate threat to the community. Quincy Public School District Superintendent Roy Webb says the district is out next week for spring break and the time will be used for extensive cleaning aimed at reducing risks of the virus in school buildings.
