Quincy Community Theatre has had to get really creative since COVID-19 derailed their 2020 season right before the opening of Chicago in mid March. But the theatre has found new ways to continue to share and spread the arts through the community virtually! The next virtual show on Quincy Community Theatre's schedule is a youth show called "She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms" debuting October 6th through the 9th.

On Quincy Community Theatre's website 1qct.org they describe She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms as...

"She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms is a dramatic comedic romp into the world of fantasy role-playing games that pays homage to the geek and warrior within us all. The Virtual Realms edition has been adapted by the playwright for the virtual stage...In this dramatic comedy, varsity cheerleader Agnes dives into her late sister Tilly’s Dungeons and Dragons game to learn more about a sibling she never really understood. Alongside Tilly’s gamer friends, Agnes battles her way through psychotic fairies, shape-shifting slime monsters and wisecracking demons, while juggling her own (equally treacherous) high-school social life."

It is so cool that this is a show that was actually written to be done virtually, which is how Quincy Community Theatre is performing it! This show features cast members  who are all young, mainly teen aged, performers. For more information on this show and hw to watch it check out Quincy Community Theatre's website 1qct.org.
