A new report has come out grading the 116 hospitals in the Land of Lincoln, good news there was only one F grade and even better news over 30 hospitals received A grades, so what grade did your local hospital get?
Grading of the hospitals in Illinois has been done by the website hospitalsafetygrade.org, and the group that leads this is called Leapfrog. On their website they say...
"A hospital may have the best surgeons and greatest technology in the world, but unless it is preventing infections and eliminating errors, it is not delivering on a very basic premise: ensuring the safety of you and your loved ones. The goal of the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is to reduce the over 200,000 yearly deaths from hospital errors and injuries by publicly recognizing safety and exposing harm."
The one hospital in Illinois to get an F is Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, and there are 8 hospitals that received D grades, but the majority of the hospitals on this list received A's B's, and C's. To see the FULL LIST of Hostpical grades CLICK HERE!
