If you've lost your faith in humanity, I have something you need to see. It's the moment when a Missouri girl surprised her stepdad with a special gift to show him how much they appreciated all he had done for their family over the years.

This happened in Carterville, Missouri. The video description adds the backstory behind what you're about to see:

Jada Atherton, 19, said when her stepdad Daniel, 34, decided he wanted to move down to Carterville, Missouri, US, he had to trade his beloved car for one of her grandpa’s rental properties at the time.

Years later, they decided to buy it back for him to show how much they appreciated that sacrifice.

This is the moment when Daniel received his surprise.

I'm not crying. You're crying.

So much to feel good about here. First, you have Daniel the dad who understands the priority of family over material possessions and gives up his beloved car to care for his new kids. Then, you have Jada who understands what it means to show gratitude to someone who has given so much for you to have a better life. So awesome.

As the world continues to battle its way out of the pandemic and political strife, I would prefer to see more stories like this. Dig deep enough and you'll find goodness like Jada and Daniel have displayed. Cannot get enough of it.
