John Wood Community College is holding the line on its tax rate.

John Wood’s Board of Trustees Wednesday night voted to keep the school’s 2020 tax rate the same as 2019.

The tax rate of $0.424 per $100 Equalized Assessed Valuation will generate nearly $7.8 million dollars.

With an increase in property values in the John Wood district, the tax is expected to generate over $328-thousand dollars more than last year.

The owner of a $100,000 home in the John Wood Community College district will pay about $116 in taxes for the school.
