Jacksonville, IL Couple Hurt in Deer-Motorcycle Crash Sunday

A Jacksonville, Illinois couple suffers non-life threatening injuries in a deer-motorcycle crash on Interstate 72 at the east end of the Mark Twain Bridge at 11 a.m. Sunday.

The State Police reports 76 year old Bobby Lewis was westbound when his trike struck a deer that had run onto the road.

Bobby Lewis and his passenger, 67 year old Janet Lewis, were ejected from the trike on impact.

Bobby Lewis was taken by ambulance to an area hospital. Janet Lewis was airlifted to an area hospital, both with what police describe as non-life threatening injuries.
