I found this massive Iowa property on Realtor.com as I searched for the most expensive place currently on the market. Here's the description of what you're looking at:

The Mayflower Residence Hall was originally built as a private facility in 1968 before it was purchased by the University of Iowa. It has 326, 000 SF of interior space, with 523 rooms built and furnished to house 1015 residents as a dormitory with 1-4 residents per unit. It will be delivered to the buyer vacant in the summer of 2024.

This building is located at 1110 N Dubuque Street in Iowa City, Iowa.

What's the price of being an Iowa dorm king? As of this writing, the asking price for the old Mayflower dorm is a cool $45 million dollars. There certainly are a lot of possibilities with a building that has 523 rooms and management facilities built in. I'm not sure about zoning in that part of Iowa City, so any prospective dreamer/investor would need to get details on what is allowed. But, whether it's converted into a commercial apartment building or office space, it absolutely has space for big ideas.
