We all know that live here in the Tri-State area how lucky we are to have a town like Hannibal, well, experts think so too and just place it on the list of the best charming small towns in Missouri.

From the Mark Twain Cave to the Mississippi River, Hannibal is just one of those charming towns. Especially the downtown area. The experts at Redfin think so too, they say

Hannibal’s love for its literary heritage is matched by its vibrant community events, including the annual National Tom Sawyer Days, a celebration of Twain’s impact on American literature and culture.

Some of my best local festivals and events take place in Hannibal, they know how to put on a good event. From Twain on Main, National Tom Sawyers Days, Hannibal BBQ Fest, and Folklike Festival I just love attending all of these every year.

Charming Small Missouri Towns

Other towns that make Redfin's list include:

  • Warrensburg
  • Kirksville
  • Sedalia
  • Mexico
  • Lebanon

I've been lucky enough to have visited most of these small towns, but some are on my bucket list. Maybe when my kids are grown and out of the house I'll be able to road trip a lot more and visit these places. It's gonna be a while, but I will get there.
