The Galloping Ghost Arcade is located in Brookfield, Illinois. All of their machines are coinless. You pay $25 a day to play as many arcade machines as you want or $30 if you'd like to play the pinball games, too. Their current list of arcade games is a stunning 1,049 as of the date of this writing. They first opened on Friday the 13th of 2010. They only had 130 games at the beginning, but have steadily grown the collection to over 1,000. They were inspired by the lack of arcades in the Chicagoland area more than a decade ago. Thanks to their active arcade community, they continue to thrive even though the glory days of arcades are now in the distant past. Long live the mom and pop arcades like this one that keep the retro gaming vibe alive.
