2nd Most Boring City in U.S. Neighbors Missouri

If you seek excitement in your life, there's a city that's just beyond the Missouri state line that doesn't offer much of it. As a matter of record, it was just named the 2nd most boring city in America and you have been warned.

A couple things to get out of the way first. I have had friends that called this "boring" place home and they were terrifically nice people and I'm sure there are others in that part of America that are the same. Second, I have a (well deserved I admit) bad reputation for giving this state grief and that's accurate. However, facts are facts and this city was just named the 2nd most boring place in America by Finance Buzz and it's only 197 miles by road from Missouri.

Congratulations to Wichita, Kansas the 2nd most non-exciting town in America according to the "experts". Why did Wichita get ranked as almost the most boring place in America? The methodology involved population makeup, food options, outdoor stuff to do, nightlife and things to do. Finance Buzz said about Wichita (and I quote) "food and tourism are where Wichita falters". They also don't like the fact that "50% of the restaurants here are chains" and Wichita has very few international visitors. Oh, so sad Kansas friends.

I can't believe I'm going to do this, but I must come to the defense of Kansas. What is exciting to one person might be boring for another. I actually find parts of Kansas nice, but I'm also kind of boring (or so I'm told) so maybe that's not the compliment I intended.
