5 Good Reasons Missourians Should Never Look for Love in Arkansas

I love and respect the people of Arkansas. Please remember that. However, I cannot recommend that any Missouri person go there to find a love connection. There are more than 5 reasons why, but for the sake of time I'll limit myself to those.

I have driven through the beautiful state of Arkansas many times and almost took a job in Batesville almost 40 years ago. It's not like I'm anti-Razorback or anything (except during football season). But, would I recommend my Missouri friends venture there to try and find a mate? Nope. Here's why.

According to the Arkansas Department of Health, the state had 26,127 STD cases in just one year. I'm not judging, but considering what the population of Arkansas is, the odds aren't good.

If you decide to go against my advice and venture across the state line from Missouri to Arkansas in hopes of finding the love of your life, might want to lock your vehicle if you stop anywhere. US News and World Report says the Razorbacks are 49th in crime which is kind of bad when there are only 50 states competing for the "honor".

I heard someone mention that auto-correct was invented for Arkansas. That's completely not true. Well, I'm pretty sure it's not true.

If you go to Arkansas and get injured (see reason #2 above), the hospitals you receive care in might not...help you. US News and World Report says they're 47th best in America which actually means 3rd worst (see reason #3 above).

When Only In Your State shared 12 troubling facts about Arkansas, they mentioned there's a law about having alligators in bathtubs. The fact they had to pass a law forbidding it means it's happened at least once before.

Again, I love the people of Arkansas and the northern half of the state is especially beautiful. I just don't have it high on the list of love connection recommendations. That's all.
