Shocking Forecast: 24+ Inches of Snow for Missouri Ahead

If you've lived in Missouri for as long as I have, you know it snows during the winter. Thanks, Captain Obvious. However, you might be interested to know that there's a new forecast from a very popular and knowledgeable source that is pointing toward Missouri see much more than 24 inches of snow for the upcoming winter season.

Direct Weather on YouTube has nearly 300,000 followers as of the time of this writing. I've followed them for some time now and I can verify they do a good job of not being overly sensational when it comes to weather. Let's start with what they show is a typical winter for Missouri. On average, Missouri sees between 12 and 24 inches of snow during a typical winter. The bright blue area includes nearly all of Missouri.

Direct Weather has taken a number of factors into consideration which has led them to forecast this for the upcoming winter. They show that Missouri should expect to see greater than the 12 to 24 inch average.

Second, we're still a few months away from the winter season. The variables used to issue this winter snow forecast will almost certainly change which will change the actual outlooks. This is just something interesting to consider as we do get closer to the winter months. Make sure you're prepared as far as where you live and the vehicle you drive IF we do get above average snowfall in Missouri this year. Since I despise my snow shovel, I'm personally hoping this is wrong.
