The best time of the year to watch eagles approaches and Missouri is fortunate to have some of the best sites in America for observing this proud American symbol. Here are 11 great options including 1 bonus one you maybe haven't considered.

Eagle Bluffs Conservation Area is located southwest of Columbia.
Truman Lake is west of Warsaw, Missouri.
The Old Chain of Rocks Bridge near St. Louis also has a wealth of eagles during the winter months.
The Lock & Dam areas of Missouri including the one at Clarksville are great as eagles feast on the fish that are prevalent there.
If you're near Lake of the Ozarks, Bagnell Dam is always a great eagle watching option.
Schell-Osage Conservation Area is not far from El Dorado Springs.
Swan Lake National Wildlife Refuge is south of Sumner, Missouri.
Mingo National Wildlife Refuge is northwest of Puxico according to Visit Missouri.

Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge is near Mound City, Missouri.
Roaring River State Park near Cassville, Missouri has its share of eagles, too.
I'll add a couple more eagle options that aren't normally thought of as eagle places. Venture down to the main drag near the Mississippi River in Canton and you'll see plenty of eagles. I've also heard several people visiting the lighthouse in Hannibal see eagles over the river.
For a tiny road trip, you can venture into the land of Iowa for Eagle Days near Keokuk, too.
