How Missouri Stealth Bomber Pilots Eat on 30-Hour Missions
This is one of those subjects that I would sometimes wonder about, but figure I'd never know because it's probably classified. A new video reveals what Missouri stealth bomber pilots eat on long missions, how they do it and when they are allowed to sleep and deal with bathroom needs.
This new video share by Navy Media on YouTube is a rare look at the life of stealth bomber pilots from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. They documented how these vital flight crews manage eating, sleeping and bathroom duties while carrying out precision missions.

I found it interesting that the food planning is careful to include foods that don't raise sugar levels radically or produce unnecessary amounts of body waste. It makes sense when you think about enduring a 30-hour non-stop mission. Think about the fact that they have to work in regular physical needs along with mid-air refueling and the combat plan that their mission is focused on. The "sleeping" consists of only 15 to 20 minute naps on a very hard surface. It's another reminder of the special talents it takes for our military men and women to do what they do. Awesome that they're willing to share a look behind the scenes of how they manage these challenging missions.
