Computer Model Seems to Show a Weird Snow Shield Over Missouri
I have never seen anything like this before in my life and I have been on this Earth a long time so that's saying something. There is a computer model that seems to show a weird snow shield over Missouri and I can prove it.
I saw this odd weather phenomena today as I was watching an update from POW Ponder on Weather on YouTube. It's really a rather uneventful week (thankfully) and I was looking to see what he had to say about the end of this week and the beginning of next in regards to the big blast of arctic air that's about to impact Missouri. That's gonna happen, but that's not what got my attention.
Look at this map which shows the probability for snowfall between now and January 24, 2025. This is the European computer model run from today. Nearly every other part of the country has a chance of snow except for Missouri in the middle.
Even the more common GFS computer model shows that Missouri only barely has a chance of snow in the next 10 days or so.
I've noticed that much of Iowa has gotten missed by the recent snow storms, too, as systems have taken a more southerly route across America. Next week, for example, both Texas and Florida have a big chance at seeing winter precipitation. Missouri? Not so much. Thank that invisible snow shield that appears to be over our heads and I'm not complaining.
