It's not exactly breaking news that it gets hot in Missouri in July, but there's a new warning from forecasters that the month will start out even hotter than normal based on a new outlook that's just been released.

I just came across this new advisory from the National Weather Service in St. Louis, Missouri that says the end of June and the start of July will be a hot one and not just the normal July heat, but something more.

The NWS Climate Prediction Center agrees. Here's their 8 to 10 day outlook which takes us into the first few days of July as of the date of this writing.

How hot will Missouri get as July begins?

I looked at the National Weather Service forecast for St. Louis and you can see the heat really start to kick in at the end of the weekend. High temperature for St. Louis on Saturday is expected to be 90. For Sunday, the high will jump to 94. By the time Monday arrives, St. Louis is expected to have to endure a high of 96. That's as far as the forecast goes as of today. The point is Missouri will start to see dangerous heat starting early next week. Yes, I know that Missouri gets hot in July, but this is the kind of heat that can cause real problems especially if you have individuals who don't have easy access to cooling in their homes or cooling centers.
