They say that Annie Gunn's in Chesterfield is the best steakhouse in Missouri. They praise chef Lou Rook III and the award-winning wine selection at Annie Gunn's and the locally-sourced food in the St. Louis area. They also recommend that you don't stick to the public menu, but explore what they call off-menu specials.

I appreciate the fact that Tasting Table avoided the big chains that have locations in many places, but the unique steakhouses that are unique to their area. They say their criteria wasn't just the quality of the steak served, but also the friendliness and hospitality of the staff and the variety and quality of sides including wine which is obviously something that Annie Gunn's specializes in. Annie Gunn's is not a newcomer to the steak scene in St. Louis as they've been going strong for more than 36 years now. Still, this is the first time I've seen them top this best steakhouse list which is a title they may hold onto for some time.
