This is something I cannot blame the state of Missouri for. How in the world have I lived in this state nearly all of my life yet I have somehow failed to participate in 5 iconic activities.

I will spare you my entire life story, but I was born and raised in Missouri many many moons ago. I have not just spent most of my life in Missouri, but have also traveled to nearly every part of the state. How I have managed to NOT experience 5 very iconic Missouri things is beyond me. Let's begin with my hall of shame for Missouri things my life still lacks.

In my defense, I have been afraid of heights all my life and if you haven't noticed, the Gateway Arch is very tall. Going to the top has never and will never be on my to-do list. Sorry not sorry, St. Louis.

Floating the Meramec River

This one is a mystery since I've done many float trips in Missouri in my lifetime, but the mighty Meramec has not been among them. I don't know why, but I'd love to do a canoe trip down the Meramec. There is a chance this might happen - someday.

Go to Grant's Farm

This is another mystery as I love the Clydesdales, but Grant's Farm has never been a destination. I spent so much time on my grandma's farm during my childhood, maybe I'm burnt out of farms.

Spelunk in Fantastic Caverns

I love caves and have visited just about every one in Missouri except Fantastic Caverns. I hear the jeep tours are fun, so this could happen - someday.

Stare at flowers at the Missouri Botanical Garden

I don't have anything against flowers, but have never gone to the Missouri Botanical Garden. When I think of flowers, I think of chores so maybe that's what's going on. It could be that I'm afraid of corpse flowers.
