I am going to ask a question that only one man truly knows the answer to. Is Bill Gates really buying up Missouri farmland to 'save the planet'? There's a new book that claims there's proof this effort is real and happening now.

Before I dive into conspiracy theory land, let's start with a proven fact. As we've shared previously, Bill Gates is the largest private land owner in Missouri. At last count, he owns 260,000 acres of land in Missouri. When I first heard this fact, I immediately wondered why? Maybe now we have a potential answer.

Fox News is reporting today that there's an author who has proof that Bill Gates is buying up farmland in an effort to 'save the planet'. The author's name is Seamus Bruner. I found his book "Controligarchs" on Audible. The theory goes that Bill Gates and the Gates Foundation are wanting to control the food supply and he says he has proof that affecting climate change is the goal.

He's not alone in his thoughts and concerns. Missouri Farmers Union shared an article entitled "Why Farmers Are Worried About Bill Gates". They said "As the value of farmland has skyrocketed, small-scale and beginning farmers have been priced out from purchasing their own land or even affording leases."

To be fair, Bill and Melinda Gates foundation does incredible amounts of work around the world "fighting poverty, disease and inequity" according to their website. But, it's a fair question to ask about motivations behind owning so much farmland in the heartland of America in states like Missouri.

If the author's theory is true, what a web some of the world's elite may be weaving right under our feet.
