One of the great things about the internet is the ability to spread information. One of the worst things about the internet is the ability to spread inaccurate or old information. I'm going to attempt to clarify something I'm seeing shared about the 'brand Americans trust the least' because there are 50 Illinois locations and I have questions (and you should, too).

There's absolutely nothing wrong or inaccurate about the study shared by Chain Store Age. It's based on a real survey conducted by Clarify Capital. They asked numerous demographics about brands they love, hate and/or trust. Does the brand ask for and respond to feedback? Is their pricing fair? Do you trust this brand? There's only one tiny problem with all of this that I'll address in a moment. First, the results which show the least trusted brand in America with only an 18% positive survey rate is...

As of a couple years ago, Vine Pair said there were 50 Sonic Drive-In locations in Illinois.

Here's my problem with this survey being shared now. If you look at Chain Store Age's article, you'll see it was published on November 7, 2022. I'm not saying it's not valid. It is, but it's data that is almost two years old.

Think about it for a second. Do you think it's fair for a restaurant or any brand to have to deal with survey results that are 2 years old? I don't feel like that's completely fair. Yes, it's interesting, but I would argue that more recent surveys should be what's trusted and let's not hold something against a restaurant for years. It's hard enough for eateries to make ends meet and stay in business these days.
