Why 42,000 Pounds of Paint Spilled on I-70 in Missouri

If you were traveling across Missouri on I-70 recently and saw a bunch of spilled paint, you weren't hallucinating. The Missouri State Highway Patrol has revealed what's behind the massive paint spill of over 42,000 pounds of paint and why the person responsible is in big trouble.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F shared the details of a huge paint spill on eastbound I-70

"Just after midnight, troopers responded to a rollover crash involving a tractor trailer loaded with 42,000 pounds of paint on eastbound I-70, at the 166mm, in Montgomery County. Thankfully, the driver wasn’t injured, but he was arrested for DWI."

So good news and bad news. Terrible news that a driver was allegedly intoxicated driving a big rig like this, but miraculous and good that he was not injured and neither were any drivers near him. Now I have to wonder how much paint thinner the Missouri State Highway Patrol had to purchase to get all of those colors off of I-70.
