This mystery is not new. Way back in 2014, people starting calling St. Louis TV stations asking about these strange shapes someone found on Google Earth. Fox 2 in St. Louis solved the mystery when they reached out and confirmed these "alien shapes" were treatments by the Tyson Research Center. They are the environmental research station for Washington University.

There's something creepy inside those shapes, though.

The Fox 2 St. Louis story said that researchers have placed "cacti, tarantulas and even scorpions" in these research glades. I think I'll take a hard pass of ever touring these mysterious Missouri shapes now, but thanks.

Mystery solved. Are there crop circles in Missouri? Yes, there most certainly are. Are they from aliens? Nope.
