Hannibal Restaurant Named Missouri’s Most Under-the-Radar Eatery
I would call this a very pleasant surprise. It's not often that Hannibal restaurants get national shout-outs, but that's what happened for an eatery called the most under-the-radar place you can eat in the state of Missouri.
Cheapism just shared the restaurant in each state they believe is the best "under-the-radar"
They say that LaBinnah Bistro in Hannibal is the best restaurant that isn't on most people's radar that don't live there. They were knocked out by a couple of special food creations there:
- Gemini, a baked, boneless chicken breast with fresh spinach and mushrooms sauteed in lemon and white wine
- Ajvar chicken breast with pureed eggplant, tomato, peppers, and spices
It seems that the Cheapism folks were impressed with the intimacy of the dining and the unassuming appearance of LaBinnah Bistro which led them to this nice honor.
It's refreshing to see a national site like this not just toss out accolades to the many restaurants in the larger Missouri places like St. Louis and Kansas City. Sure, they have some legendary restaurants there, too, but if you're talking about truly off-the-beaten path places, you need to explore the smaller towns in Missouri which is what they've done here. Nice to see a long-time Hannibal restaurant get some well-deserved recognition.
