What is the Florida crisis and why does it affect Missouri?

Redfin reports that Florida people have a problem with their homes. They're not selling which has resulted with more homes on the market there than ever before. Here's why that's an issue for the Show Me State. With real estate values plummeting, many are fleeing Florida for (*drum roll*)...Missouri.

How big is the Florida exodus to Missouri and why are they coming here?

WFLA reported that in one year alone, nearly 10,000 Florida residents moved to Missouri. Why Missouri? Business Insider shared the story of a "boomer couple" that fled Florida for rural Missouri to get away from the fast culture there for the more laid back feeling in Missouri. Will Missouri see the 10,000 that have moved to the state from Florida increase even more? If the real estate situation doesn't improve soon, you're likely to se a lot more moving trucks with oranges on the sides pulling into your neighborhood.
