FBI: Ohio Man Convicted in Disturbing Missouri Teen Case

Every parent in Missouri should learn what just happened to a man from Ohio who the FBI busted for disturbing things he did to a Missouri teen after contact through an online gaming platform.

The United States Attorney's Office in the Eastern District of Missouri recently revealed details of a case that led to the conviction of a Ohio man. They say that Andrew Raymond Crum, 33, of Toledo, met a Missouri girl in an online game when she was just 14 years old. He began traveling to Missouri when she was 16 years old to engage in sexual acts with her. The FBI learned of this thanks to an anonymous tip in October of 2024 and learned of his plans to return. They alerted the family and busted the man before any more harm could be done. Crum pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in St. Louis to one count of coercion or enticement of a minor and he's been sentenced to 160 months in prison.

“Thanks to an anonymous tip to the FBI, we were able to stop Andrew Raymond Crum from continuing to sexually exploit a teenage victim,” said Special Agent in Charge Chris Crocker of the FBI St. Louis Division. “Crum believed he would never be caught. He was wrong. Tips from the public are often the key to rescuing victims and identifying offenders. The FBI and our law enforcement partners will relentlessly pursue those who prey on children. When they are convicted in federal court, there is no parole.”
