According to a new posting on the Illinois Work Net Center site, an employer in Decatur will soon be letting 86 workers go. It states that Rising Pharma Holdings, Inc. located at 1222 W Grand Avenue in Decatur will be releasing 86 workers effective November 15, 2025. The reason given is "mass layoff" according to the post on the Illinois Work Net Center site.

I have reached out to the company for a statement about the reason for this layoff notice and will update this article if I receive a response. According to a report by WAND News, this facility in Decatur is being closed down and that's the reason for the layoff just posted today by the state of Illinois.

This imminent layoff of 86 in Decatur brings the total in Illinois that have lost their jobs in the past year to 15,348 according to the Illinois Work Net Center.
