It's true that we don't have a lot of mountains in the Midwest, but that doesn't mean we don't have some great hills for tubing in the winter. There is one that rises above the others (literally) when it comes to tubing hills in Missouri.

Have you ever been sledding at Hidden Valley Ski Resort in Eureka, Missouri? Think Six Flags but with snow. Technically, it's in Wildwood, Missouri just north of Eureka. They do have 15 massive tubing lanes as mentioned by Only In Your State in a recent article.

It's not just a tubing place. Lots of snowboarding happens at Hidden Valley Ski Resort, too.

If you're thinking "heck yes I'd love to grab my tube/board and go play in the snow", the Hidden Valley website shows they're open pretty much all day Saturdays and Sundays with afternoon hours during the week, too.

They call their tubing area Polar Plunge Tube Park and that's a pretty good description of what you can expect there. Plunging in the best possible way.

Make sure to check the Hidden Valley Resort Facebook page for updates since winter hasn't given us a ton of snow (yet) to make sure conditions are good for sliding your backside down a Missouri hill. They have a lot of events coming up over the coming weeks, too.
