Triangle of Lights Spotted Over Illinois Was Huge & Silent

A resident in Illinois just witnessed something so far unexplainable. It was a triangle of lights she said was the size of a football field that made no sounds whatsoever and she has video to prove it.

The National UFO Reporting Center just posted this eyewitness encounter that happened in Centralia, Illinois during the early morning hours of August 28, 2026

Here are some of her exact words of what she witnessed shared in her eyewitness report:

"We were walking our dog at 5:30 in the morning of Aug 28, 2026, after the full moon lunar eclipse. I was looking at the sky, admiring the stars and saw what I thought were 3 very bright stars in a triangle pattern to the south. I stood and watched for a few seconds before I realized all 3 "stars" were slowly moving southward in unison and realized they were lights. I took a picture (night mode on my phone had a 3 second shutter, and i tried to hold as still as possible) and then I took a 20 second video."

You can see her picture and video here. I watched it and it looks like it's a faint black triangle with 3 lights, the most prominent being at the top. You can see the object slowly fade out of sight as she's taking the video. It's bizarre.

She goes on to elaborate in her report that she's an avid sky-watcher and even though she's within 60 miles of Scott Air Force Base, she's never seen an object that looks like this that made no sound at all. So far, there are no conventional explanations I've heard from Scott Air Force Base or any other regional airport. By definition, this Centralia, Illinois woman witnessed a UFO.
