If you're a St. Louis Cardinal fan, you've seen Adam Wainwright take the mound in St. Louis numerous times during his long career. However, you've likely never seen him quite like this. He took the state recently not as a pitcher, but as Adam Wainwright the country singer (and he's not bad at all).

Bally Sports Midwest shared this video of Adam Wainwright performing for his Big League Impact charity in Springfield, Illinois a few days ago. Make sure your sound is turned up for this one.

According to the Bally Sports Midwest story, Adam performed for 500 people in Springfield, Illinois and played for nearly 90 minutes. Look out, Kenny Chesney. He's written at least 17 original country songs, so this is a serious hobby (and maybe future career?) for Wainwright.

One song involved his coach Oli Marmol hiding Oreos under his office chair, so Adam continues to be the player/comedian he's always been. Make sure to follow Uncle Charlie 50 on Twitter to keep up with his country music (and charitable) dreams.
