If you want extreme Missouri is home to some of the best thrill-seeking adventures. From rock climbing in Elephant State Park to zipling in the Ozarks there is something for everyone.

Now, I'll be the first to admit – I'm not exactly what you'd call a "thrill seeker." But there's one experience that's been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember: skydiving. I had big plans to take the plunge when I turned 40, but as luck would have it, COVID had other ideas. If you like to push your limits there are six experiences in Missouri you need to try.

Extreme Experience

Zip Lining in the Ozarks will give you the scenic views you want plus the thrill of conquering your fears of heights and flying through the trees. Even better, you don't have to be an experienced zip liner to try this. It's available for all skill levels.

Zip lining I would try, rock climbing on the other hand not so much. But, if you're into that sort of thrill-seeking adventure you can rock climb at Elephant State Park.

There's also:

  • White-Water Rafting on Meramec River
  • Caving in Mark Twain National Forest
  • Skydiving Over the Gateway Arch
  • Mountain biking at Swope Park

So no matter what you are looking for, The Show-Me State has you covered from no skill to to expert. I wish I was more of an outdoors person. It's never too late to try new things.
