There is one particular bird that you will find all over Missouri that you just should not mess with and stay far, far away from.

The Black Vulture can be seen throughout the entire state of Missouri. For the most part, they stay to themselves, but they have been known to not only get after livestock but also attach the roofs of cars and trucks. Yeah, I was surprised about that one myself.

According to AZ Animals,

Black vultures weren’t just making trouble for farmers. Kelly Smith from the Missouri Farm Breau recalled seeing a group of these creatures attacking a car. “On the hood and on the roof,” he recalled, “and eating the plastic and rubber moldings around the windows.”

These birds have been know to attack domestic small animals such as small dogs and cats. When my Max was super small I would watch him when I let him outside I was so scared that would've been scooped up by a vulture or owl.

Other Dangerous Birds in Missouri

I had no idea that there were so many different types of dangerous birds in Missouri. Be on the lookout for the Great Blue Herons and the Great Horned Owl. Why are all these birds called great?

These might be beautiful animals (okay maybe not the vultures) but looks are deceiving.
