Hermann, Missouri, home to wine trails and antique shops has now been named by Travel and Leisure as one of the most beautiful small towns to visit. Hermann is just a fun place to get away and relax, enjoy some local shops, and of course, will have you asking for another glass of wine.

Hermann sits amid rolling hills along the Missouri River, surrounded by wineries. It’s often referred to as Missouri’s Rhineland because of the area’s rich German heritage.

Since the 1960s, Hermann has been an industry of wine, and today vineyards and wineries contribute to the town's huge success. You may have even had a glass of wine from Hermann and may not have even known it. Stone Hill Winery is the largest winemaker in the state and calls Hermann home. At one point during the winery's history, it was the largest winery west of the Mississippi River and the second largest in the United States.

Hermann is just one of those places that I love going to. It's just far enough to get away, but not too far. It is a place for a weekend away with the girls or a romantic weekend away with your significant other. Plenty of things to do and enjoy and not surprised that it made the list of all the small towns in Missouri as the most beautiful.
