Is the Mississippi Monster the Best Water Slide in Illinois?
There is a waterpark in Illinois that is home to a new ride called the Mississippi Monster, I rode it this last weekend, and it is quite possibly the best waterslide in the entire Land of Lincoln!
That is the ride in question, it is known as the Mississippi Monster and it is at Raging Rivers Waterpark in Grafton, Illinois. The ride according to the YouTube video posted 10 months ago on the Show Me St. Louis YouTube Channel says it has a 200lbs weight limit, but that has increased to 300lbs (I know because I rode this puppy on June, 10th 2023, and as a man over 200lbs I always check weight limits before I ride a ride). In the caption for the YouTube video, they say...
"The Mississippi Monster offers the "biggest thrills of the park" featuring three hidden chambers and multiple tracks of enclosed tubes."
I completely agree with the caption, I rode every single ride at Raging Rivers this past weekend, and while my personal favorite thing is the Wave Pool (but that's a personal thing, I love wave pools), the Mississippi Monster was by far the best ride at the park and my favorite waterslide I have ever been on!
I had never been to Raging Rivers in Grafton before but it really was a great family fun day, they have multiple rides for all ages groups, a fun wave pool, a lovely lazy river, and the whole park gives you some beautiful views of the river down below.
