Look. I believe in ghosts and the supernatural, but there are some places that even true believers may avoid because of how haunted they are known to be.

There are some scary roads in the Show-Me State. I've been on many backcountry roads that would make you nervous to drive on, and one of them is located in Hannibal.

Most Haunted Roads in Missouri

Drivers on Prospect Road in St. Louis may have seen a woman walking the road. Lengen has it that she was killed in a car accident and now haunts the road at night. Drivers have reported seeing a woman in white standing in the middle or on the side of the road and swerving to avoid her.

Would you drive in Zombie Road in Wildwood, Missouri? This particular road has a long history of hauntings (which means more than one ghost has been seen on this road). if you dare to walk on this particular road, you will hear footsteps, whispers, and ghostly figures behind you.

Riverside Drive in Hannibal is said to be haunted by Civil War soldiers and victims of river accidents. People have seen figures walking wearing Civil War uniforms and voices. I am going to have to walk this road (not at not cause I am not about to lose it).

Have you heard of Crybaby Hollow near Troy? Again, a road that I will avoid at all costs. Local legend says this road is haunted by a baby (hence the name) crying all the time. Also, some have reported strange noises coming from the woods nearby thank you
