Missouri is known for its majestic caves and adventures, but only one is getting national attention for being the best for families to have some outdoor fun.
Lake of the Ozarks is an amazing place...for adults. You must own a boat or jet ski to get out and enjoy the lake. Another lake close to the Ozarks is getting major national attention. Table Rock Lake in Barnson is among some of the best in the U.S. according to Thrillist.
I don't think there's anything to do at Table Rock Lake. Surrounding Branson, which hosts shows, museums, mini-golf courses, Siler Dollar City, and more.
You can also get your adrenaline going at the towering Bigfoot Gravity Bomb, a 200-foot free-fall ride that lifts you for a stunning view out over the town and the lake before dropping you.
The lake itself is a beautiful place to relax, cool off, and enjoy a day at the lake for some summer fun. I am not a big swimming-in-the-lake person; I need to see the bottom of where I am swimming and what is swimming around me. I just can't get over the fact that fish, snakes, and lord knows what else are swimming with me. Yuck!
