Big Crowd Expected for Dr. Ben Carson Visit in Missouri This Week
Hannibal-LaGrange University’s spring lecture series hits a crescendo Thursday evening (March 13) when neurosurgeon and former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Ben Carson speaks at 7p at the Mabee Sports Complex on campus.
Dr. Carson has led an extraordinary life of achievement, is a man of faith, and will speak on liberty and responsibility. Balancing obedience to God with commitment to excellence and the obligation we have to each other.
As a neurosurgeon, Carson was the first to separate conjoined twins attached at the back of the head. Following retirement from the medical field Carson found himself in the spotlight espousing conservative principles, ultimately running for President of the United States in 2016 and accepting a position in Donald Trump’s first term cabinet.

Carson’s unique experiences and life journey promise to highlight a speech focused on where we as a free people find ourselves in 2025, and how we can confidently move forward with duty and optimism. He has written a dozen (or more) books with one being turned into a movie "Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story"
