While working in my backyard this past weekend, I noticed my giant tree starting to change color, clear signs that fall is on the way. That got me thinking about the best places to enjoy a crisp fall day or snap those perfect autumn photos.

The Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis is one of those must-see spots. I’ve never visited in the fall, but I can imagine it’s breathtaking. The garden is known for its vibrant displays of fall foliage throughout the grounds. Plus, you can catch the Fest-of-Ale event later this month.

Another great St. Louis destination is Castlewood State Park. Nestled along the Meramec River, it offers scenic hiking trails surrounded by brilliant fall colors. It’s also an excellent backdrop for senior pictures or family portraits.
A Road Trip to Branson’s Fall Beauty
If you’re up for a road trip, head to Branson and explore Big Cedar Lodge and Dogwood Canyon. These locations offer a more luxurious fall experience, complete with a variety of outdoor activities and breathtaking views of the autumn foliage.
