Whether you prefer to drop a line in the water in the Mississippi, Mark Twain Lake or your favorite farm pond, fishing is a passion for a lot of folks in our corner of the world.

And that passion is all-inclusive, from the very young to the not so young.

It's those young anglers that are the focus of a contest going on now, being put on by one of the country's best known stores for all things outdoors.

Bass Pro Shops is sponsoring the, "Johnny Morris Happy Fishin' Contest." On the Bass Pro Shops' website, store owner Morris says he set up the contest because, "I love seeing the smile on a kid's face when they catch a fish."

The contest is open to all kids 17 or younger. To enter, the youngster sends in a video up to two minutes long that shows their passion for fishing.

But you need to hurry, because the deadline to enter is Sunday, October 24.

We haven't mentioned the prizes yet, have we? The top ten winners will each get a NEW Bass Tracker Classic XL boat, motor and trailer, airfare and lodging to attend the U.S. Open National Bass Fishing Championship Tournament in November, a rod and reel package and a fishing gear package.

The winners will be announced November 2.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
