
Hannibal Police Make Arrest After Woman Stabbed
A 33-year-old man has been arrested following a stabbing that left the victim with "multiple stab wounds," according to Hannibal Police.
Officers responded to a call on Wednesday (July 15) at 8:22 a.m. in the 2600 block of Chestnut. Upon arrival, police say they discovred a 28-year-old female in the back yard of a residence with multiple stab wounds to her upper body. A press release from the Hannibal Police Department says that the victim identified her assailant as 33-year-old Roy J. Gillum.
Gillum was located at a residence in the 2400 block of Broadway where he was arrested without incident. He had been charged with Domestic Assault, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Armed Criminal Action.
Gillum was placed on a 24 hour hold at the Marion County Jail pending warrants. The victim was flown to the University Hospital in Columbia Mo.
