The Hannibal Early Bird Kiwanis announced Wednesday the return of their annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Last year’s event was cancelled because of COVID.

The 33rd annual hunt is Saturday, April 3rd in the area of the Mabee Sports Complex on the campus of Hannibal LaGrange University.

The format will be the same as it’s been in the past. The event starts at 10 a.m. with over 10,000 plastic eggs filled with candy and other prizes scattered over the grounds of the university, with the hunt broken down into age groups.

The Easter Bunny will also be on hand.

The one COVID-related difference this year is that the Kiwanis are asking everyone, young and old, who comes to the Easter Egg Hunt to wear facial covers or protective masks to ensure everyone’s safety.
