Hannibal Police make two DWI arrests after two vehicles collide Saturday morning. The accident happened on Interstate 72 just west of Highway 79 shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday.

Officers arrived to find one vehicle upside down in the roadway with the driver, 43-year-old Adam Carson of Quincy, trapped inside. Carson was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital. He was later issued citations for DWI, driving while revoked, following too close, and no proof of insurance.

Police also arrested the driver of the second vehicle, 37-year-old Jeremy Watkins of New London, for Driving While Intoxicated.

Hannibal Police were assisted by Hannibal Fire and the Marion County Ambulance District.
