Hannibal BBQ Joint Named in Ultimate Missouri BBQ Road Trip List
It's no small feat to be named as one of the top stops for BBQ in the state of Missouri considering that the state is legendary (looking at you, KC) for great ribs, briskets, etc. One Hannibal BBQ location just got a big shout out from a major national website.
I see friends share stuff from Only In Your State pretty much every day. It's one of the more famous sites for best of lists, etc. They just created what they consider to be the top 7 BBQ stops in Missouri and stop #2 on their road trip is Big Muddy BBQ in Hannibal.
Why did Big Muddy BBQ end up as one of the early food stop destinations from Only In Your State? It's not just their BBQ, but they called out the "candied yams, baked beans, and sweet potato" sides.
What other BBQ joints were found worthy of the Only In Your State praise? They began their road trip in St. Charles before stopping in Hannibal. From there, it was JQ's on High in Jeff City and A Little BBQ Joint in Independence, BB’s Lawnside Blues & BBQ in Kansas City then on to a stop in Springfield before returning to St. Louis.
Maybe not the most earth-shaking news in the world, but pretty nice for one of our local eateries getting a national acknowledgement for being on a must-stop BBQ list.
