Dogwoods, Cannibals, and Special Olympians top this weekend's calendar.

The marquee event of the weekend is the 2015 Dogwood Festival in Quincy. The theme is #Quincy175, in observance of the 175th anniversary of the city of Quincy.

Highlights for the weekend include neighborhood block parties Friday night, the parade and the anniversary bash Saturday and entertainment downtown Sunday.

In conjunction with the Dogwood Festival, First Christian Church in Quincy hosts its annual Breakfast on the Lawn, inviting the public to bring their lawn chairs, enjoy breakfast and watch the Dogwood parade.

In Hannibal, the Jaycees and VFW Post #2446 join forces for a washer tournament at 3 p.m. and a dance at 8 p.m., both at Tanyard Gardens. Both are fundraisers for a number of causes.

The Hull-Kinderhook Fire Protection District's annual Fish and Chicken Fry is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. at the fire station on Highway 106 in Hull, Illinois.

The fourth annual JUCFest is 5 p.m. to midnight at the Adams County Fairgrounds with food drink and entertainment. Proceeds go to the Robert Frazier Memorial Scholarship at Unity High School in Mendon.

The Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation's Couch to Cannibal training program starts Saturday and runs Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings for the next nine weeks at The Healthy Way Fitness Trail on the Hannibal Regional Healthcare System campus.

A major event on Sunday's calender is the Special Olympics Illinois West Central/Area 11 Spring Games at Flinn Stadium in Quincy, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
