Coleman Gets 16 Years in Prison for Attempted Murder
A Quincy man Tuesday gets 16 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for attempted murder.
19-year-old Marcus Coleman had pleaded guilty to attempted first degree murder in July. Coleman admitted to shooting 19-year-old Derangle Riley of Chicago in face during an incident in the 400 block of South 7th last December 4.
Coleman was also ordered to pay $31,000 in restitution to various hospitals that cared for Riley.
